Kaeli Ramotar

Dance Instructors

Kaeli started dancing at the age of 5 at the Elaine Hunter Dance School in Orleans Ontario where she resides.  At age 6, she began dancing competitively and has diversely trained in jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop.

Kaeli was selected, at age 15, at a dance competition to be part of the New York Summer Dance Tour, where she was honored to be trained by professional dancers and choreographers at New York’s leading dance facility, Broadway Dance Centre.  She was then selected at the age of 18 to be part of the Paris Summer Dance Tour, where she trained in Paris, France. Over the years, Kaeli was awarded the following:  Mini Dancer of the Year, Junior Dancer of the Year, Promise and Potential Judges Award, Above and Beyond Award, and Highest Scoring Solo & Duets.  Kaeli  has displayed her dance abilities at many community events, such as Canada Day on Parliament Hill, Fallingbrook Fair, The Ottawa Exhibition, back up dancing for upcoming singers, and other local charity events.

Kaeli’s love for dance has enabled her to teach younger students, and she has excelled at this for the past 8 years.  Here at DanceRStudio, she is currently teaching Intermediate Competitive Contemporary and over the years, her group choreographies have won Judges’ Choice Awards and Choreography Awards, as well as her soloists winning Special Awards at numerous competitions.  Kaeli is a positive and encouraging role model and she strives to bring out the best in her dancers, helping them to perfect old skills, and master new ones. She continues to maintain her own dance technique by training as much as she can at Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver.

Kaeli has graduated from Algonquin College as an Early Childhood Educator.  She is presently in her final year of an Honours Double Major in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Ottawa.  Kaeli would like to complete her education at the Masters level studying either Social Work or Child Life Specialization; however, dance and teaching will always be part of her life.
