Chris was born in London Ont., dancing. Well, not literally but you get the idea. He always loved dancing around as a child, and after taking his first steps on a real dance floor with his grandmother, he was hooked. He moved to Ottawa to attend Carleton University and upon completion of his degree, began to dance and teach on a full-time basis at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio.
From 2006-2017 Chris experienced a great deal of success at the studio earning multiple National honours, including the National Top Male teacher award 8 times. While with the Fred Astaire Studio, Chris had the honour and pleasure of dancing at numerous galas and events, including dancing the opening dance at the Viennese Winter Ball and competing in the “Dancing with the Easter Seals Stars” event, which he won twice. Over the past three years Chris has been proudly developing his own dance curriculum to help anyone from a beginner to advanced level ballroom/latin dancer be the best they can be on the dance floor.
Whether its choreographing that perfect routine, preparing for competition, or enjoying the fun of social dance Chris’ students have always gained from his fun-loving approach to life and dance. His classes are a harmonious blend of fun, and learning, and his passion for this beautiful artform shines through.
